AZ Trail hike – 2 days to go

Made it to sunny Tucson AZ in one piece after a long travel day. After a 430am wake up, made it to the airport on time. Whereupon, TSA confiscated my hiking poles because either me (or my poles) are a threat to the flying public. Better than last time, when they cut open my freeze dried meal bags. Lesson learned — stick with Amtrak next time. After that pre-dawn crisis, I took a deep breath, and the day improved markedly with these views over southern Colorado, New Mexico, and eastern Arizona. Looking forward to tomorrow to read, study maps, soak up some sun, and get some last few supplies….including new hiking poles. 🙃
