From Tuolumne Meadows to camp site beside Lyell Creek.  Today’s hike – 8.7 miles.  Total trip miles – 203.5

Awoke at the Lake View Lodge in Lee Vining.
Showered, dressed, started packing, locked myself out of the hotel room. 🙄
Got back in, went to breakfast, bought extra bacon to carry on trail for a few days (a new habit).
Wrote a blog post, phoned a friend, finished packing, bought fruit and Gummies, got on bus.
Breathed.
Got off the bus at Tuolumne Meadows.
Resisted temptation to go to snack shop.
Hiked.
Felt a little “soft” after 4 days off.
Followed beautiful Lyell Creek all day.
Admired and photographed dragonflies, fish, and changing creek colors.
Actually, the creek remained crystal clear;
the creek bottom is what changed colors.
(Creek so clear I could see fish shadows – see last photo).
Soaked my feet in the creek (another recent daily habit).
Finished completely flat (no-elevation-gain) hike.
Set up tent (at same campsite as 5 years ago!), napped inside for a while
Made dinner; wrote this blog post; went to sleep.

It’s a simple life, but I like it.

Love ya miss ya thanks for being here.
